Test Cook

Test Cook, Cookbook team

The cookbook team is seeking a food-loving visually oriented cook to join our team. In this role you'll assist with the production of all food needs for cookbook photography and play a vital role on our larger cookbook team. You should be a team player, detail oriented, precise, a careful planner, and capable of managing multiple projects with firm deadlines across several departments.

Responsibilities include:

- Plan, prepare, and execute the production of recipes for styled food photography, step photography, and video that will be used within the cookbook program.

- Manage organized planning meetings and ingredient ordering/shopping for assigned photo shoots.

- Independently establish daily workflows to ensure successful execution of photography needs.

- Support team recipe development through execution of recipe tests on an as needed basis.

- Attend tastings and regular team planning meetings related to current recipe development on the book team.

- As required, conduct recipe development for assigned projects and appear as on-camera talent for video and social media shoots.

- Other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

- Competent with both savory and sweet cooking methods.

- Preferred 2-years professional cooking experience

- High school diploma or equivalent.

This position is site-based. America’s Test Kitchen is located in the Seaport district in Boston, MA. Our organization follows a hybrid work schedule and this position requires a flexible schedule based on business needs.
